Raw foods – Day 1

Unfortunately, I didn’t go to the supermarket yesterday because it go too late so I had to make do with the fruits and vegetables in my fridge to get through the day. Here’s how it went:

Breakfast : Green smoothie  (1 kiwi + 1 mango + juice of 2 oranges + handful of spinach)

Lunch : Fruits and nuts ( handful of raw cashews + 1 banana + bunch of grapes)

Tea break : 1 banana + more grapes

Dinner : Mixed “rice” (Raw cauliflower, half a zuchinni, 1 carrot, 1 onion, teaspoon of nutritional yeast) .

Also wanted to share a quote that has inspired me for the New Year:

A brand New Year doesn’t mean anything if you don’t change the way you live your life. If you want something you’ve never had before, then do something you’ve never done before.

So whatever goals you’ve set for the New Year ahead, whatever plans you’ve taken to improve the quality of your life…know that it takes hard work and changing/sacraficing certain bits of your lifestyle. No pain, no gain =)

And now, off to the supermarket I go to prepare for Day 2!
